If you don’t qualify for Illinois Solar For All (more information here: https://bnenergybright.org/illinois-solar-for-all/), or don’t want the hassle of installing panels on your roof, then community solar is a great option to go solar and save money on your energy bill. Community Solar involves subscribing to a solar farm to have a portion, or all, of your electricity supplied from there, at a cheaper rate than typical utilities.
This summer, the EAC is partnering with PureSky Energy to launch a community solar program for residents of Bloomington and Normal. The program offers a guaranteed 10% discount on all community solar credits and is free to sign up for. No installation is required to sign up, and residents can cancel at anytime.
To sign up, visit http://www.pureskyenergy.com/ecology-action
Additional information is available through the same link, as well as in our community solar flyer attached at the bottom of this page.
