The Ecology Action Center’s BN EnergyBright is a comprehensive community energy program aimed at increasing energy efficiency and promoting energy conservation with the overall goal of reducing electricity demand in Bloomington-Normal.
BN EnergyBright is supported by the Town of Normal and the City of Bloomington, which are both part of the municipal electric aggregation program. Municipal electric aggregation allows customers within a municipal entity, like the Town and City, to pool together and negotiate for better energy rates.
BN EnergyBright provides outreach and education services to the broader community and also provides energy efficiency services to customers that are part of the municipal electric aggregation program through Homefield Energy.
