If you don’t qualify for Illinois Solar For All (more information here: https://bnenergybright.org/illinois-solar-for-all/), or don’t want the hassle of installing panels on your roof, then community solar is a great option to go solar and save money on your energy bill. Community Solar involves subscribing to a solar farm to have a portion, or all, of your electricity supplied from there, at a cheaper rate than typical utilities.
The EAC is partnering with PureSky Energy to launch a community solar program for residents of Bloomington and Normal. The program offers a guaranteed 10% discount on all community solar credits and is free to sign up for. No installation is required to sign up, and residents can cancel at anytime.
The Bloomington-Normal program is approximately 94% full. To sign up, visit http://www.pureskyenergy.com/ecology-action
Additional information is available through the same link, as well as in our community solar flyer attached at the bottom of this page.
